Terms of Service

You must be at least 18 years old to use PetVerse. By signing up you confirm that you are 18 or over, that the information you provide is accurate, and that you have not previously been banned from the service. One account per person.

When using PetVerse, you agree not to:

• Harass, threaten, stalk, or abuse other members, in chat or elsewhere.
• Use the service for commercial solicitation, advertising, promotion, or spam of any kind.
• Create fake profiles, impersonate others, or misrepresent your identity, age, or pets.
• Post content that is illegal, sexually explicit, hateful, or that depicts animal cruelty.
• Request money or financial information from other members.
• Scrape, harvest, or collect other members' data, or attempt to interfere with or circumvent the service's security.

You own the content you post — your photos, bio, pet profiles, and messages. By posting it, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, and display that content for the purpose of operating and improving the service (for example, showing your profile to other members). This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except where limited retention is required for safety or legal reasons. You confirm you have the right to post everything you upload.

We want PetVerse to be safe. Uploaded images may be screened automatically before publication, and members can block and report one another. If you break these terms, we may — at our discretion and with or without notice — issue a warning, remove content, restrict features, suspend your account, or ban you permanently. We may also report unlawful activity to the relevant authorities.

• PetVerse Premium is an optional paid subscription that renews automatically each billing period until cancelled.
• Payments are processed by our payment provider (such as Stripe or RevenueCat, where enabled). You can cancel at any time through that provider; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• Refunds are handled according to the payment provider's policy and applicable law. Except where the law requires otherwise, payments are non-refundable for partial billing periods.
• If we change subscription prices, we will give you advance notice before the new price applies to your renewal.

PetVerse does not conduct background checks or identity screening on members. You are solely responsible for your interactions with others. Use common sense:

• Always meet in a public place for first dates.
• Tell a friend or family member where you are going.
• Never send money or share financial details with a match.
• Report suspicious behaviour to us using the in-app report tools.

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that you will find a match, that member-provided information is accurate, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PetVerse will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for the conduct of any member on or off the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or USD 100. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

You may delete your account at any time from your profile settings. We may suspend or terminate your account as described in section 4. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as licences needed for safety records, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) survive.

These terms are governed by the laws of [Jurisdiction — to be determined], and disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

We may update these terms from time to time. For material changes, we will notify you in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use PetVerse after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
